It’s that time! Our families can start sharing about and donating to our Spring Dance Party – starting TODAY! Our goal is to raise funds to install a digital marquee, a water filtration device and for other projects. Are we ready to be the top fundraising class/grade?
Here are 3 things we can do to help support our school through this fundraiser:
There’s also a really cool video called the Student Star Video which you can create for your student on the funrun.com website. You’ll have to see for yourself, but you upload a photo of your child and they become part of the video. It’s so fun, and your friends and family will think it’s pretty cool, too!
Thanks again for your support!

As part of our efforts to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, our District will offer viral and antibody testing the week of April 5 to staff, students, their families, and community. Testing will be available 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no testing taking place between 12 noon and 1 p.m. The dates and locations are:
The antibody test consists of a light fingerprick; results as quickly as 15 minutes for those who stay around for their results. The viral test is the shallow nose swab test; results available within three-to-four business days. Learn more here: Viral Test for COVID-19
Testing is voluntary. Participants have the option of only doing one of the tests or both, and they are offered at no cost (covered through health insurance or reimbursable to testing provider Kahala Biosciences under the CARES Act for those who do not have insurance). Per requests, immediate family/household members are also eligible to participate. To schedule an appointment, please click here or cut and paste the following into your web browser: https://kahalabiosciences.com/cvesd-safe/

The Chula Vista Elementary School District invites you to contribute to “ThoughtExchange,” our interactive survey, which helps us understand what is working well and how we can improve. Your input is key to guiding our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), a three-year plan that describes the District’s goals, actions, services, and expenditures that support positive student outcomes.

about the LCAP necessarily revolve around resource allocation and target students’ classroom learning opportunities—particularly those of English Learners, students of poverty (including homeless), and foster youth. School districts such as ours receive additional funding based on the number of low-income, English learner, and foster youth that we serve. Development of our plan is dependent on the input of stakeholders that include students, parents, staff, employee representative groups, and community organizations.
Please take a few minutes to respond to open-ended questions about what we’re doing well and where we can improve in our goals, actions and services. If you have not already done so, please click here to access.
