Federal funds are provided to the school district based on the number of students enrolled in our schools whose parents/guardians reside or work on Federal Property or are on active duty in the military. Send the completed form by email or drop it off at the office.

We have a have a Military Family life Counselor! Jennifer Ornelas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been working as a Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) since April 2017. During her graduate work at USC, she completed a specialization certificate in Military Social Work, while also earning her Master’s degree. In addition to having 11+ years of experience in which she has specifically worked in the multi-faceted and dynamic role of providing counseling support, she also possesses
a solid educational foundation and a purposeful passion for helping. She specializes in warmth, connection, empathy, and solutions. In her current role as a MFLC at Olympic View Elementary, Jennifer is available to help support students, families and staff . She is available to work virtually with individuals, families and groups, as well as provide classroom presentation on topics such as stress management, deployment cycles and friendship skills. Save the Date! Nov. 10, we will be having a Family Military Night Via Zoom from 6 – 7 pm. All Military families are invited! We will have a family project, a scavenger hunt and other fun activities.
