Eastlake Educational provides our school $20,000 each year for STEAM. Last year we purchased 5 drones and iPads.

Federal funds are provided to the school district based on the number of students enrolled in our schools whose parents/guardians reside or work on Federal Property or are on active duty in the military. Send the completed form by email or drop it off at the office.

It is VERY important to fill out the Meal Application. Although the district is giving free meals to all, continued funding depends on these application. CLICK HERE to see the two ways to apply.

Partners in education ABC 10News San Diego will be broadcasting the event with anchor Laura Acevedo serving as the Emcee.

Extra Credit Text-To-Give Codes for fundraising within your school community. Just a reminder– 100% of the money that comes in through the General Fund will be split between the 7 core schools. 100% of the money that is raised using your extra credit code will go directly to your school.

We have a have a Military Family life Counselor! Jennifer Ornelas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been working as a Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) since April 2017. During her graduate work at USC, she completed a specialization certificate in Military Social Work, while also earning her Master’s degree. In addition to having 11+ years of experience in which she has specifically worked in the multi-faceted and dynamic role of providing counseling support, she also possesses

a solid educational foundation and a purposeful passion for helping. She specializes in warmth, connection, empathy, and solutions. In her current role as a MFLC at Olympic View Elementary, Jennifer is available to help support students, families and staff . She is available to work virtually with individuals, families and groups, as well as provide classroom presentation on topics such as stress management, deployment cycles and friendship skills. Thank you to all the families that came to the Halloween drive thru! We had a great time! We loved seeing all our students!

We had a great time learning about the importance of living a drug, tobacco, and alcohol free life! Thank you to all who participated in our spirit week!

On Oct. 26 we started Habit #2 – Begin with the end in mind. CLICK HERE for a parent letter regarding habit 2. You can also view this PARENT GUIDE to Leader in Me.

It is important for students to share what they are learning about the habits. You can also watch this touching video called 80th Birthday regarding the importance of Beginning with the End in Mind.

We will be working with students to plan ahead and set goals. We will help them to think about how their choices affect their future.

Save the Date! Nov. 10, we will be having a Family Military Night Via Zoom from 6 – 7 pm. All Military families are invited! We will have a family project, a scavenger hunt and other fun activities. PLEASE RSVP HERE so we prepare enough kits for families. You will be able to drop by the school before the event to pick up supplies.
