Federal funds are provided to the school district based on the number of students enrolled in our schools whose parents/guardians reside or work on Federal Property or are on active duty in the military. You can either use the link below to send electronically, or you can stop by the office for a hardcopy. When filling out electronically, be sure to indicate Olympic View Elementary in the drop down. Attendance Update

Even though school is at a distance, attendance is critical, now more than ever. We understand the challenges and are here to support you. Help your child by setting and continuing a routine. I am proud of our Golden Eagle community for keeping school a priority. Our goal for Average daily attendance is 98%

We would like to remind our entire community that following the four pillars of health can prevent the spread of COVID-19. As we prepare for the eventual return of some students to campus in phases, our District and school will be enforcing the four core principles (also known as four pillars) for the prevention of COVID-19. These include: 1) Daily Health Screenings, 2) Mask Wearing, 3) Physical Distancing, and 4) Frequent Hand Washing.

Forecast of Possible Power Outages

Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff:  

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning, as potentially strong and multi-day Santa Ana winds are forecast for Southern California that could increase

the risk of wildfires. As a result, San Diego Gas & Electric has notified about 88,700 customers that they could be at risk of prolonged Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS). Chula Vista is among the communities that might be impacted through

such shutoffs.  

Public Safety Power Shutoffs could happen as early as Wednesday night/Thursday morning and potentially last through Sunday/Monday. Please note that if a power outage does indeed come to fruition, our District will work with the San Diego County Office of Education to determine next steps with attendance for the affected period. 

We ask for your patience and flexibility, as teachers may also be affected by power outages if teaching from home, and synchronous instruction might be limited. Similar impacts could be experienced by students at our campuses hosting the Distance Learning Support Program.

Coding Afterschool Club!

Olympian High School is teaming up with OV’s 4-6th graders! Are you interested in learning more about Coding? Join the club! This club is open to 4-6 grade girls AND boys. Club is help via Zoom on Thursdays at 5 pm. First meeting is Thursday, Dec 3. Space is limited to the first 100 students, and you must register. CLICK HERE to register

Partners in education ABC 10News San Diego will be broadcasting the event with anchor Laura Acevedo serving as the Emcee.

Extra Credit Text-To-Give Codes for fundraising within your school community. Just a reminder– 100% of the money that comes in through the General Fund will be split between the 7 core schools. 100% of the money that is raised using your extra credit code will go directly to your school.
