A new California law (SB 510) took effect January 1, 2022, and requires California private insurance plans to pay for ALL COVID-19 testing received by you and your dependents at any time during the COVID-19 pandemic, at no cost to you. Additionally, federal funding via HRSA will no longer cover testing for those without insurance. To make sure you and your dependents receive the benefit of this new law, and so you do not receive a bill from us for COVID-19 testing, we need your insurance information now. Once you provide us with accurate insurance information, we will bill and accept payment from your insurance plan (at no out of pocket cost to you or your dependents) for any COVID-19 testing received from us in the past or in the future. But without your accurate insurance information, we cannot help you and your dependents to receive the benefit of this new law.

COVID Test Kits
Dear Parents/Guardians:
In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Olympic View Elementary has a test kit to distribute to families, for each enrolled student. Parents and adult family members may claim their test kit on Thursday/Friday, March 17-March 18, from 2;00-3:00PM in the bus loop. You also have the option of coming by the front office starting Wednesday, March 16 – Friday, March 18, from 9 am – 12:30 pm. Test kits will not be sent home with students.

Week of March 14 – 18, 2022
Our Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences continue this week. Students will have minimum days during conferences with a 1:00 PM (Kinder) and 1:15 PM (1-6) dismissal. Please make every effort to attend the scheduled conference to discuss your child’s progress. Our teachers and students will share very important information and you will have an opportunity to ask questions about your child’s progress this school year. Please contact your child’s teacher and/or the office if you have not received a scheduled conference time.
