At Olympic View, we follow a placement process that maximizes both positive academic and social experiences within the classroom.  It is our commitment to place all children in an optimized learning environment where they will thrive and reach their fullest potential.  Our goal is to create equitable and balanced classrooms environments that ensures the success of all students.  The assignment of students to classes is a collective effort made by teachers and school administration.  Decisions for class placement are student-based using the following criteria:  gender ratio, range of academic levels, language proficiency, past interactions, teacher’s knowledge, and special needs of students.   Due to the delicate nature of creating equitable classes, we will not make any classroom adjustments at this time.

Week of May 22 – 26

Congratulations!!!!

Olympic View went through the certification process to become a Leader in Me Lighthouse School! We were notified that we have been awarded the honor!

Within the education industry, it is common for schools to receive recognition for outstanding achievement. The Lighthouse Certification is a highly-regarded standard set by FranklinCovey that is attainable by every Leader in Me school. As it is a significant benchmark, applying for this certification typically occurs four to five years after a school begins the Leader in Me process.

The certification is evidence that schools have produced outstanding results in school and student outcomes, by implementing the process with fidelity and excellence. It is also because of the extraordinary impact that the schools may be having on staff, students, parents, and the greater community.

Please take a moment to fill our our Measurable Result Survey for Leader in Me
