Our Multilingual English Learners will be starting the ELPAC test. Below are the dates students will be testing. Please be sure child is at school on time, has a good nights sleep, and a healthy breakfast!

Zone Transfers and NEW STUDENT Registration Information
It’s almost that time again! Everyone attending Olympic View Elementary on a CVESD Zone Transfer will receive an email in the last week of January with a specific link to renew the Zone Transfer for their child for the 2023-2024 school year. Please complete this Zone Transfer (or ZT) process ASAP to keep your child at our school, or families risk losing their child’s spot at our school if a new family moves into the neighborhood. Please also remember that a Zone Transfer or Intradistrict Transfer may be denied if a child’s behavior or attendance needs improvement.
NEW STUDENT registration will begin on February 15 online for the following:
- TK students who will be 5 years old Sept. 2, 2023 through April 2, 2024 (Olympic View will have TK for the 23-24 school year!)
- Kindergartners who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023.
- NEW students in grades 1st through 6th
- All registrations will take place online. There will be no paper packets. To register please visit our district website beginning on February 15: www.cvesd.org
CVESD ThoughtExchange Survey is Now Open!
Our annual ThoughtExchange for community input on the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is now open! Please see the flyer (in English and Spanish) for more information. This year, we are asking the question: What are some things we are doing well, and what could improve the educational experience we provide students through the LCAP?
The LCAP shapes our District’s goals and guides our budgeting priorities at both the district and school levels. Please join in on the conversation from Feb. 1 through April 1, 2023. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thank you!

Dear Golden Eagle Adults. I think we can agree that our children’s safety is our top priority. Please make sure your driving and your action in and around the school reflect that. If one of our students is injured because someone is in a hurry, parks in the middle of the street, drives through the parking lot and surrounding area on a cell phone, it would be devastating. Here are some items that I have discussed with CVPD that they will be on the lookout:
- Cars making U-Turns in and near the crosswalk
- Drivers speeding through the school zone and parking lot
- Drivers on their cell phones
- Drivers turning their hazards on and leaving their car unattended in the street
- Parents parking in the read zones
PLEASE be polite and patient. We have a small parking lot and not much space. If you would like to volunteer to help in the parking lot/crosswalks, please email lisa.lines@cvesd.org
