A big shout out to OPTC for a wonderful Fun Run! We thank them for their energy and hard work! We will be giving an update on our fundraising total once the website closes!

Parent/Teacher conferences begin Thursday, Sept. 10 – Sept. 18. We will be on minimum day schedule during conferences.

TK/Kinder – 1:00 pm dismissal

1st – 6th- 1:15 pm dismissal

During the conference your child’s teacher will share:

  • Beginning of year data
  • How your child is doing toward grade level standards
  • Your child’s social emotional needs/progress
  • Goal setting for moving forward.

Be sure to write down any questions you may have for the teacher. Here are possible questions you may want to ask:

Academic Progress

  • Is my child performing on grade level in reading, math, and writing?
  • Can you show me examples of my child’s work that explain these results?
  • What are my child’s strongest subjects and where do they need the most support?

Classroom Behavior and Social Skills

  • How does my child get along with other students and teachers?
  • Do they participate in class discussions and group work?
  • Do they ask questions or advocate for themselves when they do not understand?

Habits and Support

  • Does my child complete and turn in homework and assignments on time?
  • Are there specific study skills, like organization or time management, that we should work on?
  • What can I do at home to support what you are teaching in the classroom?
