There is research that shows the more school a student misses, the harder it is for them to keep a job in the future. For each day a child misses, it takes 3 days to make it up! If your child is not sick, they should be at school. Please use the school calendar to schedule routine Dr. and dentist appointments during the breaks when possible. Be sure to call Ms. Shelley (619-656-2030) whenever your child will be absent. Also, consider asking her about an Independent Study Contract for days you miss. Your child will receive attendance credit.

Our average daily attendance goal is 96%. The first week of school, our average was 97.26. Congratulations to the classroom who met our goal!

Our first habit we will be focused on is Habit number 1 – Be Proactive. Students learn the importance of being Proactive instead of Reactive. We learn about strategies for self-regulation as well as being responsible for your actions, attitude, and effort.
