State & Local Testing Continues!

We want to thank you for being actively involved in your child’s education. This final quarter of the year will be a busy one filled with learning, fun school activities, and end-of-the-year assessments. Please review the information below. Also, encourage your child to do their best and always let them know how proud you are of them! By working together, we can make our students’ testing experience positive and successful!

  • Ensure your child is well-rested
  • Encourage your child to eat a healthy breakfast
  • To avoid any test irregularities, cell phones and smart watches with cell service will be collected by the teacher.

CAASPP State Testing for Grades 3-6: The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) is designed to give information to teachers, students, and their families about what students know and are able to do. Please see this parent guide about the assessment that all students in California will be taking. Parent Guide Are you interested in reviewing practice questions with your student? Practice and Training Site

PARKING, DROP-OFF, AND PICK-UP

All of us at Olympic View want to thank our families and community members in advance for their patience and understanding as we try to accommodate the many vehicles that arrive each morning and afternoon at our school. We strongly recommend that families use the drop-off and pick-up areas we have established at school. Drop off students only in the drop-off zone.

  • Do not leave your car unattended in the drop-off/pickup zones.
  • NO Dogs are allowed on campus.
  • Please do not park in RESERVED spaces or the staff parking lot.
  • Students must walk bikes on the sidewalk.
  • The drop-off window is between 7:30-8:10 AM. Breakfast on campus starts at 745 AM -8:05 AM.  Students will line up on the blacktop in the morning between 7:30-8:15 AM where they will be supervised by staff. Each class has a designated place to line up. Your child will be considered tardy if they are not in line by 8:15 AM.
  • Students who are not picked up by 3:00 pm (1:30 pm on minimum days), unless in after school programs, will be escorted to the office and must sign in.  The person picking up the child must come to the office to sign him/her out.
  • For everyone’s safety BE PATIENT, KIND, and CONSIDERATE.
