  • Monday: Dress as a book character 
  • Tuesday: Twin Day…Read with a friend
    • Donate a book…kids in need should get to read 
    • Student Lighthouse makes bookmarks 
  • Wednesday: Spring Picture Day 
  • Thursday: Mismatched Clothing…a student from Lighthouse comes and reads to your class 
  • Friday: Classroom buddy reading…you can read to your classroom buddies or read in your own classroom to a buddy 

On Thursday, March 6, starting at Approximately 9 am, we will have our annual Lockdown Drill in coordination with CVPD and District Safety Team. This drill is NOT an active shooter drill. This is to go over procedures that occur during a lock-down drill:

  • Locked doors
  • Blinds Closed
  • Lights off
  • CVPD then goes through the campus to give staff feedback/suggestions

Student-led conferences begin March 13. Be sure you have signed up for a time with your child’s teacher.

Students need to be at school every day and on time. Please make sure your child is here by 8:15 a.m. and lined up on the blacktop. Let’s continue to improve our attendance! If your child must be out sick,

please contact the office at 619-656-2030 to excuse the absence. Remember to bring a doctors note when going to the Dr.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) wants to hear from you! As part of our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) process, we are hosting an in-person and online forum for families, students, and community members to participate in our annual LCAP survey. The LCAP survey is part of CVESD’s annual efforts to ensure that our resources are being allocated to meet the needs of our diverse student population.
