As a reminder…Please DO NOT park in any red marked areas. These are fire lanes and must be kept clear. Thank you.

Please do not park in marked parking spots.

Drive slowly in and around the school.

Do not leave your car unattended in the drop off and pick up zones.

Pull all the way forward in the drop off and pick up zone.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

Students need to be at school every day and on time. Please make sure your child is here by 8:15 a.m. and lined up on the blacktop. Let’s continue to improve our attendance! If your child must be out sick, please contact the office at 619-656-2030 to excuse the absence. Remember to bring a doctors note when going to the Dr. or dentist.

CONGRATULATIONS to these classrooms with the highest attendance

Viora – 100%

Valerio – 99%

Please visit this page for helpful resources on improving your child’s attendance:

  • Students should only miss school if they are sick. Those with symptoms can return when no fever for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication, and symptoms improving. STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO BE SYMPTOM-FREE to attend school. We have plenty of rapid tests at school–just ask in the office. If you have a special circumstance and need an independent study, please let us know.

Home Access Center/CAASPP Scores

The Chula Vista Elementary School District utilizes the Home Access Center (HAC) to share Student Score Reports for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and English Learner Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) with parents and guardians. The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) tests can be combined with other measures like report card grades, classroom work, and teacher observations to give families and teachers a more complete picture of each child’s learning. The HAC allows parents and guardians to securely review, download, and save student results quickly and conveniently. Last week an email was sent out by our superintendent sharing important information on accessing your child’s 2023-24 state testing reports in HAC. The letter is available for review, as well as instructions on how to log in to the Home Access Center. If you continue to have trouble logging in, please contact our front office. Please note that hard copies are not provided by the school and all scores are located in the Home Access Center database.
