Week of Aug. 5 – Aug. 9, 2024

We completed the first 8 days of school! Our students have done a wonderful job! We have focused on the “OV WAY,” and what it means to be a Golden Eagle!

Thank you to everyone who attended Back To School Night(s). If you were not in attendance, be sure to connect with your child’s teacher to get any handouts that were distributed.

Our TK and Kinder classes will now be on our regular bell schedule.

Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 8:30 am – Join me for Coffee with the Principal in the. We will be discussing volunteer requirements, and conduct our annual Title I school informational meeting.

One of the ways you can support your child and our school is to nominate yourself to be on our School Site Council. We are in need of 3 parent representatives and 1 parent alternate. We meet once a month, on a Wednesday, from 4-5:30 pm. SSC helps make decisions on school safety, and how to spend our funds. We would love to have you! CLICK HERE to learn more about SSC.

To nominate yourself, you can fill out THIS FORM, or you can get a hard copy that is in your back to school packet by Friday, Aug. 5 Please consider being part of this leadership team.

Ballots will be distributed electronically on Aug. 5 at 4 pm.

Cell Phone and Smart Watch Policy

If your child will be bringing a cell phone, or wearing a smart watch, you MUST fill out THIS FORM. Please be sure to go over this with your child so they are clear about the policy. This policy is for the safety of all students and staff.

Please obey traffic laws in and around the school.

Traffic is a challenge in our small parking lot. S. Greensview is a busy street. PLEASE SLOW DOWN. Do not use your cell phone while driving in and around the parking lot. The first week of school is always very busy. Please remind your child what lot you will be picking up in.

As a reminder…Please DO NOT park in any red marked areas. These are fire lanes and must be kept clear. Thank you.

Please do not park in marked parking spots.

Drive slowly in and around the school.

Do you have time after school to help with pick up? CLICK HERE

Remind your child to be on the look out for your car.

Do not leave your car unattended in the drop off and pick up zones.

Pull all the way forward in the drop off and pick up zone.

Do not have your child cross the parking lot to get to your car

Please be patient and kind.

If you would like to volunteer this year, which includes going on a fieldtrip, please be sure to get all of the requirements completed. There are links to the required documents, and you can also get the forms in the school office. If you will require fingerprints, please see Linda Wong in the school office.
