The Chula Vista Elementary School District prioritizes our school communities’ opinions, perceptions, and needs. The District is partnering with Hanover Research to conduct a short survey to help us understand how the current school year has been and the priorities and needs for the 2024-25 school year. We invite you to participate in this brief survey, which is open until May 22, 2024. All responses are anonymous and will be kept confidential. Please use the following link to complete the survey:  https://hanover-research.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8w6nekvhyd4rzJI Please contact the front office if you have any questions about the survey. We appreciate your participation.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

DID YOU KNOW THAT IF YOUR CHILD IS OUT OF SCHOOL FOR THREE OR MORE DAYS, YOU CAN REQUEST AN INDEPENDENT STUDY CONTRACT? IF AN INDEPENDENT STUDY CONTRACT IS COMPLETED, YOUR CHILD RECEIVES ATTENDANCE CREDIT. FOR MORE INFORMATION, YOU CAN CONTACT Shelley Acosta (619-656-2030)

Students need to be at school every day and on time. Please make sure your child is here by 8:15 a.m. and lined up on the blacktop. Let’s continue to improve our attendance! If your child must be out sick, please contact the office at 619-656-2030 to excuse the absence. Remember to bring a doctor’s note. Vacations, dentist, and doctor visits should be scheduled during our breaks whenever possible. If your child misses school, they are missing out on important learning! Our school staff will be meeting with parents/guardians, calling home, and doing home visits for students who are chronically absent.

Last Week TK-6th grade attendance average: 95.8% (Goal is 96% or higher)
Yearly to date (7/19/23-4/19/24) average attendance: 95.4% (Goal is 96%)
