Mark Your Calendars for RED RIBBON WEEK 10/23-10/27
Mark your calendars now for Olympic View’s Red Ribbon Week. The week of October 23-27, will begin with an all-school assembly and include Spirit Days and many other activities throughout the week. The theme this year is Be Kind to Your Mind. Live Drug Free.

Tuesday, Oct. 24 – DAC/DELAC meeting at the District office @12 – 2 pm

Our annual #CVESD food drive, in partnership with the Chula Vista Welfare Council, starts tomorrow and will continue through October 26. Donation bins will be available at your school site during these dates, or your child can bring to their classroom as well. Help make a difference and be a community superhero! Questions? Please contact your school site.

We have several FREE clubs, and enrichment opportunities for students to participate in after school, and we are hoping to add many more. Our LEAD site lead staff, Karla, is our new site lead in charge of these opportunities.
You can contact her with any questions you may have. Her email is karla.velez@cvesd.org
We are hoping parents will have the opportunity soon to provide before or after school clubs as a paid ($50 an hour) opportunity. We are waiting to hear the requirements from the district.

Other parts of the world are not as fortunate as our communities and the conflict in Hamas may be difficult for adults to process, which makes it even more difficult to discuss with your children.
