DASH 2020-2021 LOTTERY
Due to the YMCA and School Closures, the DASH LOTTERY process will be completed online only. Please click on the link provided below to register into the lottery. Once the registration period is complete, we will run the random lottery process which selects the accepted students per school. We will then email those families prior to the start of school that have been accepted for their next steps. Those not selected will be placed on the wait-lists which will be re-evaluated once school opens. Registration into the lottery does not guarantee you into the program. Any registrations submitted after the deadline will be placed on the wait-lists. One registration per student allowed and only for their selected school.
IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!
Students will be able to pick up belongings using the following schedule. Please go by your last name for day and time. Please be sure to read this letter from Mrs. Lines regarding the logistics for pick up.

FAQ:
What is DASH?
DASH (Dynamic After School Hours) is a recreational program for children in grades 1st-6th funded by the Chula Vista Elementary School District and operated by the South Bay Family YMCA. DASH operates on all school days for 2 hours on regular days and 3 hours on minimum days for students enrolled.
How many students are accepted to enroll?
The number of students will be determined according to the school district/CDC guidelines. Once we have more information from the CDC in regards to how many students we can serve we will run the accepted lists and contact parents that have been accepted. We will assess enrollment regularly and add new students from the waitlist as students drop or don’t meet the attendance requirements. Siblings will be kept together, so if one gets in the other will as well.
What are the attendance requirements of DASH?
Students are required to attend/participate a minimum of 30 minutes, 3 days a week (regardless of holidays) to ensure the program is for those who truly need it. Time off request forms will be available for parents to complete and submit if there is a time period you need off for your student. Attendance audits will be conducted regularly to ensure everyone is meeting the attendance policies.

Dear Parents/Guardians:
Please take a moment to revisit our resource calendar, which lists helpful District and community resource information and activities for the rest of April and May. For example, the Chula Vista Police Activities League, Chula Vista Firefighter’s Foundation, Chula Vista Community Collaborative, and Arts for Learning San Diego are hosting a Virtual Day of the Child on Thursday, April 30. The event is on our calendar, or click here for event flyer.
Do you know a child who will turn 5 by September 1, 2020? It’s time for kinder registration! Please spread the word. The school office is closed to the public, so registration is happening online. Questions? email linda.wong@cvesd.org
Current Olympic View students, as well as those who turned in paperwork or ZT forms before we went out for break do NOT need to re-register; they are automatically enrolled for 2020-21. Residency Verification for returning students will be done at a later time (stay tuned). If your child will NOT return to Olympic View in 2020-21, please email linda.wong@cvesd.org
Here is CVESD Superintendent Dr. Escobedo’s recent message about loaner computers for students in need. Olympic View conducted the Phase I distribution last week (foster, homeless, special ed.), and will be distributing loaner computers in Phase II May 4th and May 5th. You will be contacted if your child will receive a loaner in Phase II.
