Dear Families –The American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge event is starting 
soon! To get ready, help your child sign up at www.heart.org/kidsheartchallenge or download the free “Kids Heart Challenge” app and register. Your child will choose their heart health challenge and earn a FREE powerband for registering online.

Attendance Campaign
Dear Parents/Guardians:
The Chula Vista Elementary School District, the San Diego County Fair and Magic 92.5 FM will launch a Student Attendance Campaign on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Here are the highlights of our campaign:
· The contest period is January 14, 2020 through May 4, 2020.
· CVESD, with support from partners San Diego County Fair and Magic 92.5 FM, will provide randomly drawn winners with prize packs. Eligible students are those with perfect attendance during the contest time period.
· Grades eligible are TK – Grade 12.
· All schools, District and charter, are eligible.
· Each student who has perfect attendance during the contest period will receive one free ticket to the San Diego County Fair!
Good attendance helps children do well in school and eventually in the workplace. Good attendance matters for school success, starting as early as prekindergarten and throughout elementary, middle and high school. Our campaign is an engaging reminder of the importance of good attendance. Be on the lookout for more information, such as attendance tips, in the weeks ahead.
